Schools legally have to admit illegal children, give them free lunches, free books, welfare, and help find discounted living. All of these things are provided with your tax dollars. How do you feel on some of these issues? Keeping in mind that not all illegals are Mexican.

  1. I think its great they did something about it. I was reading an article about it and one of the immigrants said it was sad seeing this happen and they were being treated like a bunch of criminals...Umm HELLO?? they are criminals...They need to get out and if they want to be here do it the legal way!!! I think its unfair that we have to pay for their 20 children per family to go to school because they cannot keep their legs closed. ALL illegals from EVERYWHERE should be deported.

  2. At this point, some 90% of the illegals are Mexican Nationals and you need to make that clear: Mexican NATIONALS.

It does not make any difference where the illegal aliens are from, they are enormously expensive.  $300 billion a year in Welfare for starters... starters.  A whole bunch of criminal activity, and a very profound contempt for the United States.  Providing amnesty has been a catastrophe in the case of the last six amnesties, and it will be again.  Some 47% of the people who submitted paper for the old amnesties lied like rugs on them and Mexico made sure we didn't know until after the amnesty was accepted.

But with the folks in Mississippi, deport them.  That is the law, and that is what should have been done a very long time ago.

  3. I feel that they are criminals and they should be deported. The executives of the company should also be arrested if there is evidence that they knew the workers were illegal but they ignored it.

  4. Every illegal immigrant, no matter what their national origin is, is a criminal.  I owe them nothing.

The solution is obvious and simple.  We reward all the people who are currently in the process of entering legally by giving them citizenship.  We punish all the people who have entered illegally by documenting who they are and making it impossible for them to become citizens ever.  We add an amendment to the Bill of Rights that expressly prohibits any laws providing benefits such as education that reward illegal immigration.  We have an intelligent conversation about where people fit in between those two positions if they were here legally and over stayed.  Perhaps those people are only allowed to become citizens if they complete some minimum level of college education.

  5. The people that hired them should be detained as well.

  6. I also work in a school and I think it's great. For too long our american students have been left on first class education because too many resources are spent on illegals. American kids are falling thru the cracks and then they will grow up without adequate education to even get a decent job and will be the next generation of welfare recipients not because they want to be but because they won't have the education to do anything different. It bothers me to see illegals kids..whether from Mexico, china, or the North Pole get free lunches when American kids are not getting wholesome lunches and are living on nothing or maybe eating 1 bag of chips or something because that's all their parents can afford. yet, illegals kids get free school lunches and still have money to buy candy, gum, etc. It's a shame that teachers have to spend 3/4 of the day working 1 on 1 with illegals who do not want to learn the language and can't learn when students who WILL 1 day actually be paying taxes need that help..

  7. it seriously infuriates me!

i cant believe the schools have to legally accept these ppl? and i would like to meet the person that signed this bill to make it illegal not to accept these illegals into schools...and then give them a swift kick in the a$$

  8. Illegals shouldnt be here in the first place, the sooner we inforce that message, the better.

  9. i can't believe the let some of them go free just because they claim to have children...should be rounding up the kids as well..all need to be deported on a first offense..the second time should result in prison time before deportation...

and i agree the business owner should be doing time now

  10. illegal is exactly what it means---there is a big difference between an immigrant and one that is illegal.  i heard that oklahoma cut off all government assistance to them period.  i think thats right because i dont't want to pay for them.   -and we gripe about the deficit

  11. Viva La Migra

  12. Is this a trolling question? Fox News talks about this all the time. Last night they blamed the rise in gas prices on the illegals drinking all our oil.

  13. I think it shows, by the responses posted here so far, that everyone is tired of being used, lied to, and let down by our political leaders for such a long time.

It's true that things should have never been left to get this out of hand.  But it is what it is now, and we have a whole lot of cleaning up (and out) to do.

I'm tired of reading the articles that try to play on our sympathies for these people who have blatantly disrespected our laws.  You nor I are responsible for what happens to them at this point; it's all on their shoulders.  Don't let anyone try to convince you otherwise.

Here is an example - "I was crying the whole time. I didn't know what to do,"..."He said the raid was traumatic for families."..."I'm very traumatized because I don't know if they are going to let my husband go and when I will see him," Elizabeth Alegria said through a translator" (catch that? - through a translator)...(and this is the best one) - "It was like a horror story. They got handled like they were criminals."

You think so?  Not only were these people here illegally, as if that isn't enough, but "eight appeared in federal court in Hattiesburg on Tuesday because they face criminal charges for allegedly using false Social Security and residency identification."

How should these criminals be treated then, if not like criminals?

And it's true that these are people that come from many different countries - "Those detained were from Brazil, El Salvador, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, and Peru, said Barbara Gonzalez, an ICE spokeswoman."

Anyone who tries to label us law abiding citizens as haters of the Mexican people or immigrants are simply part of the problem.

I am so glad ICE is working effectively.  A big THANK YOU goes out to them.

  14. I guess we have to start somewhere but the barn door has been open for a very long time and there are so many to deal with.  It would have been better if they took a strong stance from the beginning.

  15. Well unemployment just went down in Mississippi. There are now about 600 jobs open.

Children should be allowed in school, only if they are legal or with parents on a legal work permit/visas.

I thought all children over the age of one year old had to have a SSN.

I think that all children should have their SSN checked through the ICE database.

In NC we have a problem with illegal immigrants brought as children to the states attending college.  Illegal is illegal just because you are a child doesn't make you legal.
