I was chatting to a friend of mine who lives in Edmonton, Canada late last night when she mentioned this new story in passing, wondering if it had broken as news here in Australia yet. Out of curiosity, because I'd heard absolutely nothing about it, I searched the Edmonton Jorunal website this morning and came across several articles related to the story. To provide you with an overview, see the link below:

After reading this story, I was wondering how such an absolutely horrific and blood chilling murder such as this makes you feel. I can not believe anyone would have in it them to commit such an heinous crime and it really makes me worry about what the world will become when people are committing such crimes. My question to each of you is, how does this make you feel? If you are a mother or father of young children, how do you feel knowing that your child is growing up in such a violent society? Additionally, I was curious as to whether any of you could even begin to fathom what must have been running through the murderer's mind at the time as I myself am very curious about this. I propose that the murderer is psychologically unstable, clearly - anyone else hold this view?
