This might seem embarrassing but seriously when female swimmers have their period, do they still swim? Or do you just take leave that time of month or use a tampon? I want to know b/c I'm considering swimming and well...

  1. They use tampons, you can't be in the pool if you are just letting blood leak out of you, and your coach would not let you take a weak off of practice because of it. good luck with the swim team

  2. Tampons

    Midol

  3. I was a competative swimmer in high school and yes, you use tampons and keep on swimming!

  4. I use a tampon plus. Or a swimproof tampon.(Something like that) I have also heard of people swimming with pads on!! But you can so tell so I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to show it off.

  5. Dylan, that is completely wrong. The water is not a tinted red, that is really pushing it. Girls wear tampons (hopefully) while swimming.

  6. yeah, you have to use a tampon.

there is no way your coach will let you take a week off practice once a month.

but trust me, it's not hard to put one in, it just takes practice.

  7. You just wear a tampon. If you ask your coach to let you take a week off he/she will probably cut you from the team.

  8. Thats why the water is a tinted red if you wanna know.

    You brought upon yourself.
