  1. Taxes is the same GST you paid here.  Duty depends on were the TV was made.  If ade in the USA then the Duty is ZERO.  Also if you are planning to drive down to the US for a vacation you may be able to claim it under your exemption.  Depending on the value of the set.

And to all the answers about supporting the American economy.....Once Canadian Retailers STOP overcharging I'll start buying again.  The US and CDN $$ has been at or near par for over 12 months.  I can accept little price differences due to extra shipping cost here in Canada, but currently most big items have a 20%+ price differences.

Thats just the Canadain retailer gouging the consumer on items, which we are used to paying more for.

Two Cars come off the production line in Ontario  One goes to the US one stays in Canada, yet the Candain car is 20% more expensive ......

  2. Well I hope you buy the T.V in America because it will initially be cheaper, but with tariffs it'll be the same as a T.V bought in Canada, but please support the American economy. I hope your TV breaks and they won't take it back.

  3. Well, some people, unlike you, don't really care.

  4. i think it's a big duty
