How do you find a partner if your unemployed...

I asked a question about a recurring dream I have.

All the answers I have so far says go find myself a partner.

I believe to find a partner you must be in employment so you can treat the person to nights out and shower them with presents.

as I am unemployed I can't do this.

Is this an old fashioned way of looking at things?

If so, what do I do?

many many girls dont care if you have money!! i wouldnt. yeh presents and fancy meals are nice but so is sitting in!! it's the spending time together not spending money!!

even so, there are tons of women with money who are perfectly happy to pay for meals and all the things that you think you should pay for!!

You don't need to 'shower them with gifts' to SHOW you care/love them...

They somtimes sleep on pavements - find them there. One may also find them qeueuing at labour offices where they receive State grants.

Just try to look for the job coz its difficult to get a partner without employment so go out there and look for the job, u can search for some positions thru the net,

You'd think that no-one on Yahoo had ever had to look for a job, that they had all been in the same job since leaving education, I can't believe none of them have ever had to spend a few weeks looking for, and applying for jobs.

I don't think your temporary situation should make any difference if your looking for a proper relationship that has a chance of lasting, young girls may want to be showered with silly gifts all the time, but if you meet the right person, it won't matter. Your best bet is to carry on doing what you do, maybe go out to some different places, where there might be people with things in common with you,  Once you find that job you will feel better about yourself, women, and people, do pick up on that, it's more important than money. The right person is out there:)

If you date while you are broke, the girl is going to have to pay for all the dates. From personal experience, this only brings resentment from both sides. Soon the girl gets sick of the broke a$$ guy and begins complaining. The guy then becomes annoyed at the girls constant complaints, and the relationship falters.

Bottom line is that girls still like to be treated like ladies. We want you to open our doors and pay for our food. I'd quit worrying about finding a girl and try to find a JOB!

Not every woman wants to be dined or taken to the movies.Keep trying to find a partner, if she is really into you and you are honest about your situation she would agree to go out with you.You are making out as if women only want men when they have money.There are plenty of things you can do with your loved ones that don't cost you a peny or maybe the girl has her own money? This is the 21st century, women can also pay for their own fun.Just Be Honest from the Start and keep trying to find a job.Good luck.

unemployment is not really a big problem just to get a partner/lover. and not all girls prefer the night outings, presents, etc. etc. some would just prefer to be loved and be respected esp if those girls are financially capable. and i'm like that too. i don't need a guy who is financially equipped but don't have the care and love in me but i would rather prefer to spend for him, if he does show all his love, caring, respect, and trying hard to get a better job, and be a good man at all.

if you have girls in mind get like even 10$.. and go out for ice cream in the park.. im sure if your unemployed your living at home? well mom and dad might have no prob handin ya a 20$ for a date.. and on that 1st date say you dont have a job. be honest

umm..hitch hike to a beach and work out for half a year.... after your body is in great condition hang out at the beach and pose as a life gaurd.. chicks dig life gaurds...
