How do you find a preacher for a beach wedding?

My sister is getting married in Panama City Beach, Florida. She asked me to help her find a preacher.. How do I go about doing that? I am not computer literate... HELP!

  1. If you are not computer literate, I'd go to your nearest public library and ask at their reference desk. The librarians are now trained in information retrieval both off and on line. I know they've helped me with many sticky questions!


  2. Go to your local place of worship and see if someone would be willing to do it.  

  3. Is she getting married in a church there? If so, you will probably have to use their preacher. But if she's getting married on the actual beach, you will just have to start making phone calls. Do a Google Maps search for churches within ten miles or so of where she is getting married. Call them up and ask if they have ministers who perform weddings outside of the church.

    You might also call the Panama City Visitor's Bureau and see if they have a list of wedding officiants handy.

    If she, or someone else in the family, is a member of a church where you live, you might ask your normal minister if he/she has any colleagues in Florida who would do the service, or who could recommend someone.
