How do you find acupuncture?

Question

I had tricky surgery on my thumb and it's feeling a bit sore the last week cause the swellings gone. My mother swears by acupuncture and reckons it'll speed up my recovery and heel it up but I think it's a load of BS.

What ye think?

i think its just a load of p**p...  lol, i also agree with mark! i tried it when i went on holiday, OWCH!

Although friends of mine sware by it I tried it for an ankle injury and it made no difference whatsoever. As the therapist I was seeing did this as well as physiotherapy I was willing to let her have several attempts but all proved to be of no avail. I belive that its quite good for smokers but my personal belief is that its slightly akin to hypnotherapy and boils down to how believeable the therapist is and how suseptible the patient is. IMHO of course :-)
