I currently work in financial services as a broker but want to find out about contracting jobs. I have a friend who has less qualifications than me ie F.P.C.12&3 that deals with bank complaints. He didn't have any knowledge of this type of job before he started. I want to work in or around London, so if anyone could let me know how I would go about it please let me know!

  1. By contracting,do you mean working for a company but not as an employee of that company or do u mean the legal side of things? if it is the former, then, building your own company website and registering yourself as a company could be a starting point, that way they can search for you and u can start working for yourself. You could also contact agencies cos they are good at matching you with the job. You will have that flexibility of moving from one contract to the next, not stuck with one company. If your question is regards to contracts, then I haven't got a clue.
