How do you find out how much ram and what processor you have on your computer?

  1. press the "start" button, and the "pause break" button at the same time, and a screen should pop up with the amount of RAM you have, and how big your processor is.  


  2. You can check your BIOS. To access your BIOS, whenever you turn on your computer, your manufacturer's logo should pop up with something that says SETUP <F12> or something. Click that button on your keyboard and look around. Just do not edit any files.

    Another way is to download a third party program like CPU-Z, from http://www.cpuid.com. Or you can try Everest from http://www.lavalys.com.

  3. Right click on "my computer" that should bring up "system properties". The general tab should display that info. You didn't mention your OS, I was assuming XP.

  4. easiest way to do it in any windows environment is to right click on your 'My Computer' icon and select properties...  

  5. If you have windows XP

    Click on Start then right click on my computer and select properties a new window will come up. Look on the bottom right side of the new windows you will see Ram and CPU
