i have a samsung HDtv that ables me to play a xbox 360 at 1080i but when i put it in 1080 p it goes into two screens on my tv, does this tell me if the tv does not support that or is it because of a different cable needed.

is there any way of finding out if the tv is 1080 i or p becasue I cannot find my tv model on the internet. If anyone knows a way of finding this out please respond to this question.

  1. Look it up your model online or in your manual. It should tell you.

  2. You don't tell us either the model of your TV or what cable you use.

Many TVs will accept 1080p only via HDMI, so if you use component now, do try HDMI.

Your TV is a 1080p only if its native resolution is 1920x1080; check the specs in your user manual.

  3. It should be in the manual or on the box. You might be able to go to the place of purchase and find the same TV. Hope this helps.
