  1. Go to the child protective services and ask them.

  2. you don't.... you accept the fact that you gave up all ties to that child years ago...  Unless the child was older or a minority the odds are he/she was adopted by now... and quite frankly if they remember you at all your stepping back into the picture now is probably only going to do harm to them.

  3. Not to sound ugly but why did you give them away to start with and are you sure they would want to be with you again, i mean when you did that, (depending on the age) the probably felt pretty unwanted

  4. Sorry for the harsh answers you received in some of the answers.  I would start with the state and county that were taking from their mom.  Where ever the children were place that is the place all the decision are made for the children even if they live in another county at the time of their placement.  Good luck.

  5. They are not animals to give away and get back when you want them. I believe they are better where they are. sorry to be so blunt.

  6. well u can go to the agency and ask them and see if ur children are still there!

  7. no

  8. You might not be able to do it, but he will.  Have him start with the agency they were placed with orginally.  They will be able to at least tell you the status.  Then, you can go two routes depending on what you find out.  If they were adopted, there will be non-identifying information they can give you.  You can use this with search agencies who do searches of missing people.  You may also have legal action against them since he was in the military when all of this orignally took place.  If they have not been adopted and are still in foster care, he may be able to get custody back.  It really just depends on what the agency says that orignally took the kids.

  9. call the agency and ask them. you will probably not be able to get them back (my mom is a social worker). good luck.

  10. File for visitation in the courts.

  11. You go back to the agency that first handled it for the pregnant woman giving up her child.  They have the records.

  12. I believe, depending on the state, you can look at the adoption records or adoption proceedings by the children's names.  I would try contacting the county courthouse where the children were taken from and ask what the rules and regulations are regarding this.

Amazing what the state, etc. will do when our men and women are deployed.

  13. contact the agency that dealt with the children. if you don't know it, contact child services in the area from which they were taken (the state/county). they should be able to give you more information. good luck! sorry for other people's harsh answers and i hope everything works out the way you want
