  1. contact the prison and ask them


  2. I would contact the police and ask if this person has been in custody at any point. The police can tell you if a person is in custody. I would then try the courts and ask if they had shown for an appearance.

    Depending on what area the person lives I would then google jails in that area and call them to find out if they have that person in custody.

    As far as I am aware there is not a database you can check as to the identities of prisoners
