How do you find out if some one took a flight if they didn't purchase the ticket?

is there any way to find out if some one took a flight if you only know where they were going and where they left from. and don't have a flight number just the info given above

i would see what flights left from the destination and go from there.

If you can figure out what flight they were on you can try and call the airline - give them they flight number and last name and ask then if they show "checked in" on their e ticket.

For security/privacy reasons, they generally will not tell you, in case your intention is to cause harm to the person or to the airplane that they are on.  Sorry, but it's the world we live in :(
