  1. Women can have regular cycles and still not ovulate.

Some good "signs" that you are ovulating is having O symptoms, EWCM, O pains (although these do not promise that you ovulated)

Another sign you might be ovulating is if you have PMS symptoms with every cycle. Usually when you dont ovulate you have few or no PMS symptoms.

The only way to know for sure if you are ovulating is to take your BBT every morning, your temperature will rise and remain elevated once you Oed until you get your period. If you conceived it will remain elevated.

  2. Well I guess you learn something new everyday.  I always thought you had to ovulate to drop an egg.  What worked for me is having s*x a week to week and a half after my period and I sure enough turned up pregnant.  Good Luck & God Bless!!!!

  3. just because  you get your period does not mean that you are ovualting or that you have quaility eggs.   If you have been trying for more than a year and have not gotten pg, see you dr.  Yo u can also try on ovulation kit (you can get one at  the pharmacy).  If you are ovulationg it should work.  I have pcos, so those kits never worked for me.  It was my first clue that something was not right.

  4. No.  I had to find out the hard way.  My husband and myself have been trying to concieve for over a year.  When I went to the doctor last year she said that since I have regular periods that  I shouldn't have any problems.  My husband and I went with that.  Then this summer we went back to see what was the problem.  Turned out I have PCOS and I can't ovulate on my own.  They found this out with a simple blood test!!!! I felt robbed.  So now I just finished my first round of clomid (which helps you ovulate). Now  I feel like I am on the right track.  So my advice is that you get all the tests, don't lose time like me. Good luck and baby dust.

  5. you can actually do the over the counter ovulation predictior kits which you can find at a pharmacy... depending on the days in your cycle you can do them anywhere from 7 days a month to find out to 20. i have used the first response kits and like them trust me at first you wont know if you can tell the differnce when the lines are close then you will see. if you get two close ones that means it is coming close. start ttc. :) happy bm!

  6. if you're getting your preiod regularly, you can be pretty sure that you're ovulating regularly as well...

ovulation typically takes place 14 days BEFORE your period..

    best wishes!

  7. I was always under the impression that if you had your period every month, you ovulated...well was I wrong.  After 18 months of trying...regular 28 day cycle...I had a progesterone test done, and found out that I wasn't ovulating.  Took clomid and was pregnant within 3-4 cycles.  If you ahve been trying for more than a year, ask your Dr to go for the blood test.

  8. Sadly no, the presence of menstruation alone does not mean that you are ovulating. Some periods can be anovulatory (for a number of reasons). If you are concerned about whether or not you are ovulating, a trip to the doctors (where they run hormonal tests etc can prove it). If you notice EWCM (clear sticky/stretchy discharge) about a week or so after your period you probably are...
