How do you find out the latitude on a map?

I was lookin at past GCSE Geography papers and i found a question on latitude and i need to know how to find out what the latidude is.

Latitudes are HORIZONTAL line on the map / globe.

If you can't remember, just try this. I always think about longtitude. They are LONG so they should be VERTICAL. The others must be latitudes. I know it's quite crazy but just try . I always get the right one though :) Gd luck

Latitude are the lines that lay horizontally on a map marked by degrees. Longitude are the lines that lay vertically.
