How do you find out what company and battalion they are in without contact?

I'm assuming you mean that someone you know is at a military boot camp maybe? And you need to contact them?

If so, find out when they left, and figure out when their scheduled graduation date is. When you know their graduation date you can find out what battalion and company they're in by visiting a website.. for example, here http://www.mcrdpi.usmc.mil/visitors/grad...

That's the best I can think of.. if you meant something else I don't know if I can give you any help without any further information.

You can go to military.com and do a search on them.  if you know someone else in the military, you can go on what is called AKO (army knowledge online) and hit find old friends.  type in the branch, name and age, and it will pop up their whole listings, pay grade, duty station, and unit with company, battalion, etc.
