This house has been empty for awhile. I have tried to go to the sherriff web site to see if it is listed in foreclosure but could not pull it up.

  1. go to the county/assesors office to find out. Just bring correct address and they should be able to give you information

    Good luck!

  2. If your county has a central appraisal district, they probably have a web site where you can type in the address and find the owner and the assessed value plus some other information.

If it is a foreclosure, a bank would be shown as the owner.

However, the information is not updated too often.  I have two houses and protested the appraisals.  The new, reduced appraisals got on the web site pretty quickly.

  3. Go to your local tax assessor's office and look it up.

  4. Go to your county assessors/recorders office.
