I'm trying to hook up xbox 360 and i have bought the microsoft wireless network adapter. It requires hooking up to a network (which i am connected to my home network) but it needs a WPA key to connect. I need to know how to find that WPA key. Thanks for any relevant answers.

  1. if it came encrypted it will more than likely have a sticker on the router that says that the wireless key

Otherwise if someone in the house set it up ask them

  2. you will have to ask the person that set up the wireless internet router.

i had the same problem with my ps3 and i had to actually call the cable company.

it's a made up password so it's not standard.

  3. go to your control panel, network connections, right click on the connection that says connected, choose properties. it should show you here what your wpa key is, you may have to look around a little as im not sure where exactly it is on this window...

  4. This will pull up your wireless password key.
