How do you find relatives in Canada?

  1. If they're alive, use phone directories. If they're dead, then it depends on the province and if they were French-Canadian or Anglo.

    Most Anglos oriinally settled in Ontario and Nova Scotia. The Quebecois have distributed across the country, but the all go back to the same couple of hundred original settlers. There are some descendents of Acadians and you use the Quebecois resources to find them.


  2. Try Directory Assistance for Canada:  http://www.whitepages.ca

    If you know the province, you can go through all the telephone numbers in that province, but, of course, it helps to narrow your search to a particular town or city.


  3. You can search relatives of anybody with http://www.apersonsearch.com the site works real well. It is the cheapest site online I know and very easy to use. You can also look up your relatives addresses, numbers, etc
