  1. Leave the pie!

    36 pies is the correct answer.

    Pies!

  2. You're fine if you are supposed to leave your answer in terms of pi.  The are of a circle with radius of 6 inches is:

    A = (pi)*r^2

    A = (pi) *6^2

    A = 36(pi)

    I am using (pi) to represent the symbol.

  3. It's 36 with the pi symbol

  4. to find the area of a circle you do

    Area = (pi)*radius^2 (pi times radius squared)

    So Area = app 3.14159 times (6 times 6)

    So Area = app. 3.14159 times 36

    So area of circle with 6 inch diameter = app. 113.09724 inches squared!

    Or 36 times pi (app 3.14159)

    Or 36(pi)
