How do you find the best teachers at your college?

When I'm looking for a class I usually look up all the teachers at www.ratemyprofessor.com  I find that people are usually accurate in describing the professor. Otherwise, you can find a counselor who will recommend a good professor. My counselor would always tell me who I should or shouldn't take.

The same way I did over 30 years ago... ask around.  You'll have to take many of the same general studies classes... believe me, word travels fast on the best (and travels even faster on the worst).

There are websites out there like rateyourprofessor.com (something like that), but really, the best way to find out, is when course catalogs come out, ask some upperclassmen.  People on campus who have had those profs are the best resource.
