I know I've asked this before but,

this time, I want to know the specific lethal dose for my body

using these medications: Dimetapp, pepto bismol, tums.

Don't worry, I'm not going to actually experiment this

to myself. I need to know how to calculate this.

My teacher did not give me any formula whatsover.

Well, If this helps, I weigh 110, height is 5'2 and age 15.

Pleasee helppp. I'm clueless on what to do.

Theres only sites that help you find the dose in which

you are suppose to take, but I need the lethal doseee!

  1. There is no formula, and people aren't that consistent. There are people who survive amazingly high doses of a drug, and others who die on quite small ones.

You'll also see LD50's published for animal studies. Obviously, unless there's another Mengele at Auschwitz-Birkenau, nobody will ever do those studies on humans.

  2. Every drug has a "Package Insert" that has all of the known clinical information including LD50's or the lethal dose to 50% of animals receiving that dose. There will also be information on humans who overdosed. That being said, I'm not sure that you could die from either tums or peptobismol. Those work by neutralizing stomach acid which is hardly lethal.

  3. That is one creepy homework assignment.  In fact, I don't really even believe it is a homework assignment.  Plus, I didn't know Tums were lethal at all.
