  1. Wrap the object with a plastic first


  2. Mass / Density = Volume

  3. Use displacement- wrap it in plastic first so it doesn't dissolve if you are using water to determine the displacement.

    1) wrap item in plastic to protect it from water.

    2) put water into a vessel that has volume measures.

    3) take note of initial volume of the water.

    4) Submerge item in water.

    5) take note of final volume after item is submerged.

    6) Subtract initial volume from final volume to determine items volume

  4. Measure by the density
