How do you find yearbook from the 60's and stuff?

i was trying to find my aunt's photo for my grandmother.. her sister just died and that will be nice for her

Call all the older ones in her family to see if they have any pictures of her.     You can find out what school she attended and call them to ask how to find one.     I think it is very nice of you to do that for her.   She would really love that!   Talk to everyone in your family to find out the best way to get a picture of her.   You are so thoughtful!

I would try ebay . I would also try abebooks.com, biblio.com and other or all used bookseller websites.

The sites I mentioned above all have email notification or want lists that you create - and they are all for free. It would be in your best interests to use those tools because your yearbook might show up and if you don't have those tools in place, you will miss finding your yearbooks. There is no guarantee that you will find them however, but at least you will have a chance (however slim) that you might come across the yearbooks you seek.

Another method you might try, if you still live in your hometown that you graduated from, is the local flea markets or tag sales. You might even place an ad in the newspaper of the location that the yearbooks were given out. Most newspapers actually have free ad sections that are available online and you can write your ad and submit it by the web.

Try the public library in the city where the High School is.

Increasingly, more and more high schools now have alumni associations just like universities and colleges do.  If you know your grandmother's home town, get in touch with her old high school on line.  Someone there should refer you to either the alumni association or even her graduating class web site if you know the year she graduated.  Then either the high school librarian or an alum should be able to photocopy her high school photo.

Call the school.  Most schools keep copies of old yearbooks in the library or in the office.
