How do you fix Windows Movie Maker?

Everytime I start the program, a message pops up that says,

"Windows Movie Maker has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

i think you might need to reinstall the program, go to add or remove programs and uninstall it then go on google and reinstall it. if that doesn't work u have a virus!

It must be said, though, that WMM is not the best tool out there. Apparently CNET rated it 1 star out of 5 due to stability and response issues.
