How do you fix XBOX 360 system error E68?

Question

I recently removed the hard drive that was functioning fine. I brought it to a friend's house and we were playing my Madden 08 franchise. While trying to save, it repeatedly said "save failed". This was very aggravating and then the E68 error appeared. Since then, my hard drive has not worked and I have tried nearly all of the fixes on YouTube. Has anyone had success on any of these fixes and what exactly were they?
