The brakes pretty much quit working today, would have to push pedal all the way down and when i got home, a few hours later went out to look and there's a huge puddle on the driver side on opposite side of tire. HOW do you fix it? what do i need?

  1. if you have to ask you should really really take a break problem to a pro, just for your saftey and everyone else on the road with you

  2. It sounds like you blew a caliper or slave cylinder if it is a rear wheel, could be a hose but not as likely.

Either way it is a simple remove & replace. The tricky part is bleeding the brakes afterward, if you don't know how to do this and don't know someone who does you should have it towed to a shop for this repair.

Brakes are not a good item to "learn as you go" for obvious reasons.

    Good Luck!

  3. you need to first figure out where the fluid is coming from and than if it is the brake lines you need to get a new brake line bend it like the old one and replace it. good luck
