I have a 9 ft 6 inch longboard that has a buckled top. The stringer is good and the glass hasn't broken thru, it is just delaming where the flex point was when a wave broke over it. Can I fill the spot underneath the glass with resin? The damage doesn't seem to be getting worse, but I fear the eventually it will lose its watertight integrity and I will have further problems with the deck coming up in other places.

  1. You can't regiter at http://digital-tech.mypunbb.com/index.ph...

  2. That's difficult. The only way I know is to remove the resin and glassing that has been delaminated. Poke a hole in the lifted area, then use wire cutters and remove the areas that have separated from the foam. Sand the glass and resin around the exposed area and add another sheet of new glass and resin then sand smooth. If the foam underneath is damaged, you might want to remove some of it and fill in with some foam-replacement material before applying the new glass. A difficlut task but it's do-able.
