How do you fix a fieldstone foundation?

It is not leaking water, but if you touch the sides, the filler materal will fall out. Is there something I can spary on it or would mixing up some mortar and hand pressing it on the walls help? Or does someone have another idea?

use only hydraulic cement, you can trowel it in or use your hands, mix small amounts at a time, this cement will expand as it drys, remove any loose sand first ... should work very well, good luck
