How do you fix a gouge in a snowboard base?

  1. sand out the gouge with sand paper so when you petex it, it holds better.  then you petex it, smooth it over with an iron and then scrape off the excess and it probably wouldnt hurt to put a couple layers of wax on top of it and if done correctly it should be fine.


  2. It depends on how big it is. You can buy Ptex at you local snow shop. It comes in a stick that looks a lot like hot glue gun sticks and you melt it just like wax and fill in the gouge. if it is really big however, I would just take it to the shop and have them fix it up!
