How do you fix a leaky fosset? Like a sink or shower head

    Faucet is the proper spelling but it is a French word.  I like the way you spelled it

    Was late logging in again.

    hubertxi; martinmm and chuckM.s answers could fix your leaky faucet with a set of rubber grommets and valves bought from your local hardware. But if the metal seat is chipped or the worm gear becomes loose, then you will have to change the whole faucet.

  3. You replace the o-rings inside.

    You can get them at Lowes or Home Depot or any hardware store.

    Cut off the water supply.

    Usually you can remove the faucet handle with a phillips head screwdriver.

    Unscrew the bezel from around the the faucet.

    Slide it out and look at the black o-rings.

    Replace these with ones the exact same size.

    Reassemble in reverse order.

  4. Generally it is simply a matter of replacing the jumper valve.

    However, if the seat is pitted, it will need to be reseated.
