Now, I am looking at a used air compressor for my older brother because his broke from overheating. I found one on craigslist and it is right in his price range, but, it says that the screws on the piston rod were sheared off or something. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help. Thank You!

  1. I would leave this one for someone else to fix. The piston rod is internal to the compressor and if something has sheared off inside there is probably major damage to the piston cylinder in addition to the sheared parts.

  2. no its shot, would require a major over haul,

try a dollar store  or harborfreight.com they have some at a good price, or wal mart,
