How do you fix the annoying beep whenever you click on a track in the Yahoo Jukebox (2.2 version)?

The beep when I click on a song in the "Now Playing" window is driving me nuts! The beep is 4x louder than the music and makes me jump out of my chair every time it beeps.

Any suggestions on how to turn it off? I've disable every single Windows System sounds and it still beeps.

I had that problem on a computer where I had upgraded from XP to Vista.  Did you do this?  As far as I know it is not fixed though I am now working on a new computer with Vista and I do not have the problem.

We regret you are having concerns with beep noise in Jukebox. We'll try to resolve this for you as quickly as possible.

Adjust the Yahoo! Music Jukebox volume:

1. First check the volume settings on your computer to ensure that they are as loud or soft as you prefer 2. Return to the Yahoo! Music Jukebox 3. Move the vertical volume slider down (softer) or up (louder). This adjusts the volume for all songs until you adjust it again.

Mute:

1. Click the speaker icon below the Volume slider to mute the sound.

Notice that it changes.

2. Click it again to return the volume to normal.

You can also choose Mute from the Controls menu to turn mute off and on.

If you still hearing beep sounds, please refer to the information below.

This problem could be caused by the drivers for your current sound card, as the Yahoo! Music Jukebox timing is based on the clock for that piece of hardware. The only way to correct the error besides turning 'hardware acceleration' off is to reinstall your current sound card drivers. You will need to contact the manufacturer of the sound card for these drivers, as well as for installation instructions.
