they look terrible on the outside and are all crooked, and when you open them they slip and drop down at an angle so things in the drawer go falling all over the place. this was not how it was when i bought the set 15 years ago. although old, it's gotten no abuse at all. i would like to be able to do something to keep them at a proper angle. it doesn't have to be fancey or attractive and anything would be acceptable as long as whatever it is is done on the inside of the drawer to fix this maddening problem.

  1. You need to either re-install the drawer sliders, or make new ones and s***w them into the inside of the cabinet.  Sliders placed above the drawer will prevent that droop.  These are just wooden sticks, roughly 3/4" by 1/2", screwed and glued in, leaving a little space (1/16" or so) for "play".

After you install these, take a clear/white candle, and rub all the parts of the wood that rub against eachother.  The drawers will work much more smoothly with this on.

  2. put some douls on the inside of each side of the draws in the back to keep the draws from sliding.
