I have a friend who lives in Creel, Chihuahua and want to write to her. She only gave me her house number, and her street name and the word creel. How do I format that and what more do I have to add to it? How many stamps do I need to put on it, anything special? And I also want to mail stamps to her so she can mail back, would that work?

  1. If you live in mexico you can send her stamps..but if you live in the USA, where are you going to buy use able stamps of Mexico?

  2. Name

    Street Name + Number

    Creel, Chihuahua, Mexico

That is if like someone above mentioned if your friend lives in a rural area. Usually if the mailman does not know the addressee he'll ask someone around the neighborhood.

Is there any way you can call her to let her know that you are going to send her a letter? That way she can be expecting it just in case it gets lost in the mail.

As for the stamps, only at the post office they will be able to tell you because the postage not only depends on the destination but also the weight.

I would go to the post office just to make sure the postage is enough, you don't want your letter returned just because you may be a few pennies shorter.

Also american stamps are not valid in Mexico, so don't send her any.

You can wire some money through western union if you want so she can have money to send you any letter. Best wishes!

  3. If she lives in Creel (Urban Area).

    You may need:

    Street Name

    House Number

    "Colonia" or Vicinty/ Area name:

    "Municipio" or County Name

    State Name

    Zip Code

If she lives in a rural area near Creel, then you just need

    Street or Road Name:

    Home Number (if applicable)

    County Name

    State Name

    Zip Code

    Cheers!!
