I have had them pierced for my whole life and would like to have them gauged.

I wanna start with 14 or 16, then move up to 18.

I also wanna do it myself.

What will I need.

How bad will it hurt?

  1. You've got it backwards. The smaller the number, the bigger the gauge. If your ears are normally pierced right now, they're probably at an 18 or 16.

To gauge them you'll need tapers and jewelry. I know Hot Topic sells all the stuff you need.

Well your ears will get irritated, as for pain its like your ears will be a little sore for a while then they'll heal and be fine.

Remember to wait a good amount of time before moving on the a bigger size.

    Good luck.

    x.

  2. Umm....Just start with a tongue ring....You dont really need anything just put the bar through your ear. It hurts for like a split second. Wait till that heals then go up a size...Just keep doing that. You might want to clean it before and after though

  3. wow.. you dont know the sizes at all

    a 20 is the smallest, 18 follows

so start off with 18 since your ears are pierced

then get put on a 16 like a week later

    and then a 14

    they dont hurt at all

you just push it through your ear hole piercing thing

  4. Wow, if you're going to get the gauged at least know the sizes! 18 is the smallest, then it goes up to 16, 14, etc. You just squeen them through your earing hole, if you need help put some water or something to lube up your ears.
