How do you get 3 in Four Fours?

Using 4 fours, make the numbers 1-100. You can only use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I cant find out how to get 3. CAn Anyone help?

    (4 + 4 + 4) / 4 = 3

  3. 4+4+4 divided by 4

  4. I see everyone else's answer, here's my own.

    4 - [4^(4-4)]

    4 - [4^0]

    4 - 1

    3

  5. 4/4=1

    4+4=8.. 8/4=2

    4x4=16..16/4=4

    4/4=1.. 1+4=5

    oooh ok u wana find out how to get 3..now i realise..

    4/4=1

    so take that 1 from 4

    i.e 4-1=3

    =]
