  1. It is a sham and they are a poor excuse for a pair of parents

Why not have a live interview with Jeremy Paxman let him question them and lets listen to their answers. Then I might start to believe they are anything other than a reckless couple out for a good time regardless of the cost

  2. Simple you don't. To consider leaving your children at any time in any place unsupervised 24/7 is stupidity and blatant neglect. How can this ever conjure any thoughts of 'safety or reassurance'?????? It's just another pathetic and idiotic attempt to shift the guilt way from themselves.

When you become a parent your child is the most precious gift to be blessed with and I would never ever consider it ok to leave them to their own devices knowing how vulnerable and what a danger they are to themselves. Al parents know you can turn your back on a child for a second and they are up to something. And the thing that sickens me to the stomach most is when Madeleine was crying out for them, told them and they still left them again!!!!!!! It doesn’t happen to normal parents just selfish people who have children as accessories to fit their lifestyles but haven't got the integrity to do what's right. Madeleine was an unloved and unwanted child and this is evident in her parent’s incredible actions… They sicken me…

  3. I put my hand in the air very tentatively......

I hate to state the obvious but this wasn't the mccanns first holiday abroad.

they did much the same thing last year in Greece, I remember reading.

They make a habit of trusting their kids to a false sense of security.

Perhaps they really really really didn't expect it to go wrong.

Bad luck for them & even worse for madeline.

Pair of them are jumped-up health-care professionals & think they're above the rest of us mere mortals & immune from the justice system.

why oh why haven't they been charged with neglect?

think we'd all like a straight answer.

  4. by living in america.

  5. Its terrible, but it happens on vacation. You believe the brochures of the resort. Everything looks safe & well attended to. You're there to have a great time. Your mind tells you that nothing bad is going to happen.

For what its worth, this is the precise reason i'm extra paranoid on vacation. On our first trip after my little one was born, i tied him to me with a scarf...had the strangest feeling that someone would enter our room...i'm a worrier.

If Kate said she felt they were being watched, i'm certain it was in retrospect. You get a niggling feeling, don't know what it is & after the catastrophe, you realise the implications of your intuitions.

    Simple really, if you're objective.

  6. yeah- I'd need more facts to answer...

People have different definitions in regards to "secure". Not everyone is in their right mind... others simply don't care. There are people that are devoid of common sense, and / or feelings.  truly sad.

  7. My thoughts exactly - though more to the point. How could she possibly have been in a false sense of security AND concerned that someone was watching the family at the same time - which she has said in the past that she was. And why, if you thought you were being watched, and your daughter has asked you why you didn't comfort her when she cried the night before would you go out again?

EDIT: LOL Did you refresh after getting the coffee break? It makes that happen sometimes :)

  8. you make a new friend on the internet and then over the next two years your friendship becomes supposedly 'stronger'....then you start meeting up then next thing you know best mates, and then too late...he/she is asked by you to llook after3 babies....

  9. Is there a context to this?

  10. Lulled into a false sense of security, now I have heard it all. This is the woman who turned down an offer to baby sit her children whilst she went out on the lash. The only thing that is false in all this is what they say.

  11. Many of us are lulled into a false sense of security simply by saying to themselves "it could never happen to me" We all do things which on hindsight range from being just plane stupid to life threatening things. Swimming in dangerous waters, crossing roads without looking, pushing a pram out from behind a parked car, I could go on forever.  I guess the McCanns thought that as there had never been a child abduction it would not happen to them . Yes we all make mistakes and anyone who says otherwise is living in cuckoo land.

  12. theres no point in answering this as youve already made your mind up to the right answer

    ok. here it is.

if you are in a secure safe environment, its easy to feel safe. you are with friends who also have children. you are all checking on each others children. you are not far away from your children.

its easy to think no harm can come to them. as for the babysitting service? why do you need it when you are all looking after  each others children?

  13. Lulled into a false sense of security. Perhaps that`s what is happening to The McCanns at the moment.

If I was them I would be forever looking over my shoulder.

If photographs in possesion of people at the Tapas bar

the night Madeleine went missing is true. Perhaps this could open a case that has been shelved for the time being.

I would love to be  wrong on my thoughts on this case, for Madeleine`s sake.

With all the facts that have been published,I fail to see this will ever happen.

I whole heartedly agree with Seven .

    They sicken me also

  14. Neither is mine and it beggars belief that anyone could especially in a foreign country you have never visited before.
