How do you get 6-13 year olds to be quiet, paying attention and working together in a group?

  1. Don't listen to E DUB, that just makes us hyper, lol, tell them that they get to go outside (if its sunny) after, but when the group work is finished say, oh no, we can't go outside, I forgot, we hav math, or something like that.


  2. Take your kid out of the group and explain wat u want from them. If this dosen't work send the child to timeout or their room. When they do stay quiet or do wat your told reward them and praise them for doing a good job. And also encouage them to work with others.

  3. what kind of group? what type of work? assign each a responsibility within the group, create importance on the task at hand that forces them to think, make the task fun.

  4. make rewards to whoever does the best or some kind of contest

  5. give them some candy

  6. That's abig age range, so you would need to find something that would interest all of them.

  7. give them something they are interested in.

    coloring for example...
