How do you get MOD PODGE that has dried out of the carpet? Please help!!!?

  1. Try soaking the area with vinegar and letting it set for quite awhile.   Vinegar will often work as a solvent.  If that doesn't work, maybe nail polish remover will.


  2. You can't.  Sorry.  I learned that one the hard way!

    Once that stuff dries, it's on there forever.

    You MIGHT be able to remove it somewhat if you thoroughly soak the area in warm water and wipe, wipe, wipe, but that might actually damage the carpet and padding further.  If it's just a small area and the sticky stuff didn't penetrate all the way to the base of the carpet, you could clip that area, a few fibers at a time.  Might look kinda funny, though.

    If it's a large area and/or the Mod Podge soaked all the way down into the carpet, I don't think you have any option except to either live with it or cut that section of carpet out and replace it.
