How do you get Staryu on Pokemon Diamond?

I have the National Dex and heard that it can be found in Canalave city but I don't know how to find it. Cheers.

Use Super Rod in Canalave City or Sunyshore City when standing in front of the water.

After obtaining the National pokedex, fly to Snowpoint City and take the ship north of Snowpoint City and you arrive Fight Area, go north and it will lead you to Route 225 but you shouldn't go in. There's a fisherman standing outside on the right side. Talk to him and answer yes, he will give Super Rod to you.

Canalave City - level 20 to 40 - (5%)

Sunyshore City - level 20 to 40 - (5%)

Staryu will only evolve to Starmie when you give it a Water Stone.

There are many ways to get a staryu. one is to use the pokeradar thing and look in canalave. Another way is to trade using wifi or with a friend. the last way i can think of is to have an action replay and use the catch trainers pokemon cheat and catch a staryu from a trainer
