How do you get a 'crick' out of your neck?

I woke up this morning with a stiff neck. Its been almost 24 hours and it is still killing me. It hurts to turn my head to the right and down. This NEVER happens? How do I get rid of my stiff neck?

I've had this happen before, the only way I've found is to wait it out. Use a heating pad if it really hurts, but it probably won't cure it.

yes this has happened to me. it usually last a day then it goes away. i don't know if there are any ways to treat it but i can relate. it's a pain.
