Question:

How do you get a CLEAN single Pirouette ?

I can do an okay one but are there any secrets anybody has about them?..........

  1. try and hold your body up on releve without turning. just hold your core and keep your eyes focused on one thing. Hold it as long as you can. do that a couple of times, and then try doing your single.

    Don't forget to spot and point your toes. Keep your chin up and keep your arms steady. also, make sure you plie enough to get yourself  around, but not so much that you are doing a turn and a half. just keep practicing. you will get it. Soon you'll be practicing doubles and triples.☺


  2. THIS WORKS: start withholding your center and do a 1/4 turn do that al the way around  then do a 1/2 in a circle then a fun turn and then do your left side and then your right we do this is ballet and dance camp

  3. what i wld suggest is of course a fast spot but practice a lot of the posts where u get prepared and go on releve but then u just pause and make sure u have ur balance b4 trying turns....i can do 4 turns everytime now but i always do those first and i always really focus.......then seriously pull ur posseup as much as u can with ur knee still touching and that will help u think of CONTROL and strength in ur leg, stomach, and butt.......think that thereis a penny in your belly button......thinking of ur belly button always helps

    full pirouette.

    thats how i learned.

    keep your spot and find your core also.

    your pirouettes will become better

  6. im a jazz dancer and u have to start flat then go on releve(on ur toes)   also spot  and dont go to slow or to fasttt

    i just landed a triple it took me a while but i did it

  7. practice quarter turns(4) then do half turns(2) and then a single(1) and double pirouette! it works very well

  8. suck in you entire upper body and spot.

    thats when you focus on a tiny little spot and as you turn, leave your head, then whip it around to look at it again

    when you push off make sure your feet are in the correct position

    keep your arms between shoulder and bellybutton level

    relax your shoulders
