How do you get a CRB report on someone?

  1. You apply for a form from CRB itis coloured grey and numbered.  

    The applicant fills it in and returns it  to you. (or maybe posts it direct to CRB i can't rememebr)

    You then send it to CRB wit the fee

    You and they get a copy of the search results back

    Sadly you havree to do this even if they have a grey form for another job dated yesterday. i tyhink they are ddue to improve the system soon but as always it will cost more.

    CRB is a profit making government agency and it's first duty is to make a profit no matter what they try and tell us.

All CRB checks must be carried out be a registered body (i.e. an organisation such as a local authority).  The person you require a check then completes a disclosure application form, this is signed off by a registered signatory (within the registered body).  An enhanced check costs £36 and takes 4 - 8 weeks to be returned from the CRB.

  3. Actually CRB checks require the authority of the subject.

    There are specific procedures and formats to be observed, which are only open to bona fide companies......... so forget it!
