I'm getting a new TV(HD if it matters) and was wondering if I wanted to watch some regular broadcasting tv shows what would I need to do?

I'm mostly using it for the PS3, its DVD/BluRay player, and the Wii.

  1. well you might need to buy an Local channel Cable ( Antenna ). If you already have it, then just plug it into your tv. Then the antenna will find the channels for you TV if it can get enough signal for it.

  2. All HDTVs have both digital and analog tuners. You just hook up an antenna to the antenna input to receive analog broadcasts.

Be sure to also go into the HDTV's menu and have it scan for digital broadcasts. Unlike analog TV channels, digital tuners have to look and see what digital channels there are.

  3. If you're familiar or know somebody who is familiar with cable, have them run a line from the tap outside of your home, or try and splice somebody's line.
