How do you get a baby bird out of a house without harming it?

we had an experiance with a bird flieing in the house a while ago and we couldnt figure it out we finally caught him in a box at 1:30 in the morning.if it happens again i would like to know a better and quicker to get him outy safely.this is firecrackers granddaughter again

chuck a towl over him and u can pick up the towl with him in it
