I'm trying to get a "Moonlight Blood drive" going in my area and I'm trying to find a place where I can have it at. I'm thinking at a grocery store parking lot, cuz I have seen it done before at different grocery store parking lots, but I do not know who to contact or who owns the parking lot. The specific location I chose is because it is convenient for me and has a lot of people in the area. Does anyone know who I can contact? I am trying to get in done in the San Fransico Bay Area, East Bay, Pleasant Hill Safeway parking lot near Diablo Valley college. I'm looking for information on grocery store parking lots in general or about that specific locations. Or possibly information on other possible sites in that area. Thanks!

  1. We ran one here on the East Coast and it was started by a few College kids. All they did was call the local broadcasting company's (Clear Channel and Service Electric) and they offered to do a free promotion of the drive for us. And lucky enough to have one of the radio stations come out that nite.  Now for finding a lot we were lucky and asked if we could use Lowes, it is near a interstate and nice area of town. Most big box companies such as that and Wal-mart would let you use there locations for these blood drives. Also see about teaming up with a local college or University (such as Otis) and they also have connections about bringing in free food and such. Just a idea. Good Luck on that

  2. Ask the store manager, they can probably give you permission  or point you in the right direction to get it.
