My daughter put a bag of popcorn in microwave. The corn didn't pop, just the grease in the bag started burning. The bag almost caught on fire. Any ideas how to get that bad burnt popcorn smell out of our microwave?

  1. I clean mine with vinegar and water. That will get rid of the smell.

  2. Boil a cup of whit e vinegar and water in there and let sit. When you go to bed, sit a box of baking soda in there and let sit overnight. My son did garlic and butter in mine.Stuck to high heaven.,

  3. I put a bowl of lemon juice in mine. Nuke it for about 20 seconds and leave it in overnight.

  4. add some Clorox, and water in a bowl and simply turn it on for about 5 min,get in and clean the mist .should be fine bleach is handy for everything it will also disinfect. As for adding vinegar i don't think it would have much of a effect.

  5. Put a couple of charcoal squares in the micro overnight....that should do it, or the baking soda box overnight like for the fridge.

    hope this helps...........

  6. White distilled vinegar diluted with plain tap water.  Heat on high about 4 minutes and then let set for about 5 minutes.  Wipe the vapor off the inside walls of the microwave and then set a small bowl of baking soda in there over night or for about 5 hours.  That should make it smell like new!!
