How do you get a car to rumble?

Question

when you have a car in park, or in drive while holding the brake pedal down, and then floor it, how do you upgrade your car to make it have a racey rumble?

The only good sounding rumble comes from a V8 with a radical camshaft, headers, 3 inch exhaust pipes and proper muffler.  

I  had a Dodge pickup with a built V10 and it never sounded as nice as as my built V8's, the V10 got rubber in all 5 gears and it sounded whimpy!
