  1. This link is much more detailed than the first. The Army does not do the best of jobs on their own sites, no fault of the young lady.

From what I have read it is very possible to have many now that should have up to 3 stars. Each deployment is a separate period of time.

    SSG US Army 73-82

  2. you need to be in a different campaign, not just a different country

  3. Check out this link:

    http://www.army.mil/symbols/combatbadges...

It explains the different levels of the CIB.

  4. fire at and be fired upon in 2 different combat zones

  5. There are 5 conflicts which are authorized second awards of a CIB.

    1. WW ll

    2.Korean war

3.Vietnam war, includes - El Salvador; Grenada, and Panama

    4. First gulf war

    5. War on terrorism , Iraq or afghanistan.

You must have served in Infantry or Special Forces for the qualifying period during more than one of the 5 listed above, to recieve a 2nd or subsequent award.

So the most any individual could have now, is 3 awards of the CIB.

  6. Well Im not in the Army, but my militry experianceand common sense tells me,you have to get a good qualification score,or have combat experiance, but im not EXACTLY sure
